Derek won the title on 20th April. He beat the current British Champion, Howard Cherlin in the Semi-Final, and Phil Ayton, former English No. 1 at senior level, in the Final.
The Veterans of Great Britain Tournament was held at the end of April and this years venue was Broxbourne Squash Club in Hertfordshire.
