Backhand Dropshot

Peter Nicol of squashskills

The backhand drop is a shot that everyone needs to have at their disposal. It allows you to take your opponent into the front without opening up the court as you would when using the boast.

Bizarrely, it's a much simpler shot than the forehand drop, it's a more natural swing and much easier to open up the racket face and leave the ball further up the court.

There's one very simple tip that Peter talks about that helps massively when ensuring that your swing shape is correct and will help you to hit more consistent drop shots time after time. All is revealed in this video. Watch it now for free here!

Derek Thorpe says "Knuckles Up is a great reminder to keep the racket open as you strike the ball and on the follow through".
